Ceirde terms and conditions

These terms explain how Ceirde may be used by homeowners, tradespeople, and visitors. They are intended as a practical platform policy for launch and should be reviewed by a legal professional before large-scale rollout.

1. About Ceirde

Ceirde is an Irish marketplace that helps homeowners post jobs and connect with tradespeople. Ceirde acts as a platform and does not carry out construction, repair, maintenance, or installation work itself.

2. User accounts

Users must provide accurate information when creating an account or posting a job. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for activity carried out under your account.

3. Homeowner responsibilities

Homeowners should provide honest job descriptions, accurate locations, and lawful content. Homeowners remain responsible for choosing who to contact, hire, and allow onto their property.

4. Tradesperson responsibilities

Tradespeople must provide truthful profile information, only respond to relevant jobs, and comply with applicable Irish laws, tax obligations, and insurance requirements. Ceirde may remove profiles or leads where misuse, spam, or misleading conduct is suspected.

5. Lead unlocks and payments

Tradespeople may be charged to unlock certain leads. Unlock pricing, billing events, and any applicable fees are shown before payment. Unless required by law, unlocked lead payments are generally non-refundable once homeowner contact details have been revealed.

6. Reviews, moderation, and reporting

Ceirde may moderate reviews, investigate reports, and remove content or accounts that appear false, abusive, unlawful, or harmful to the platform. We reserve the right to suspend or restrict users to protect the marketplace.

7. Ceirde is not a party to the contract

Any agreement for work is made directly between the homeowner and the tradesperson. Ceirde is not responsible for workmanship, timelines, pricing disputes, or on-site issues arising between users.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ceirde is not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, business interruption, property damage, or disputes between users. The platform is provided on an as-available basis.

9. Changes to the platform

Ceirde may update features, pricing, moderation processes, and these terms as the marketplace evolves. Continued use of the platform after changes are published may be treated as acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Contact

For questions about these terms, users can contact Ceirde through the website contact page.
